Forum : Producing Help : 202 vs 303

recently I bought a little brother for my TB-303, and I synced them by using the cv/gate connetions.
This works, the MC-202 plays what the 303 plays, however, if I add slides to my 303 pattern, the 202 seems to triple those notes.
If I dont use slides in the 303, the 202 plays fine.

Is anyone familiar with this, or other cv/gate related issues?

grtz, Matthijs

MY 202 has been modified in order to use the cv/gate inputs. The inputs had a lag, which was really obvious when using the 303 to sequence it.
I used my little MCV to connect the 202, but with basically all short attack sounds, you'd hear the delay very obvious. Too obvious!
Now it tracks like a charm! I made a small demo, its on youtube:

to use the cv inputs off your 202 you should modifie its i believe the microprocessor is the cause of a delay in the signal

The signal from the cv ins go through to microprocessor where its quantised. This will result in a delay. The modification bypasses the microprocessor and feeds the internal synth without use of the processor.

i'm not going to spend time or money on modifying my 202,
I also have a midi-CV/gate converter so I control it by my RM1X

thanx again...
