I sometimes have mp3 being different from the WAV, for example with a moving narrow band cut at high tones it gets all glitchy. Not much to do about it than encoding tracks at a higher quality, but note: The
electrobel flash player supports only 44.100 Hz encoded MP3 files, only the encoded kbps rate is custom..
The effect can sometimes be really bad at 192 kbps, if really need/want something to be as close as the original I recommend encoding at 320 kbps, which makes huge files as bad counterpart of it.
For an example of something that sounds bad because of the MP3 codec, listen to the encoder-crushed unrecognizable synth hits in the first seconds of
my track Thanks.
