Hello everyone,

just wanted to do a double check on the licensing part of the music that's available for download on this site. Can I use the music in my private productions? How about in commercial productions? And are there any rules regarding what you should show in your film (like artists name and song title)?

Searched the site for this info but couldn't find it, might I suggest to add this kind of info to the FAQ?

Thanks in advance!

Greetz,

Jeff

There are different types of creative commons licenses, per song you can see what the exact license is on each song page on electrobel.

There is a "license: ............" on each song page.
You can click on the part right after "license:" to see the creative commons license for that song.

A creative commons license implies that you share the work together with the license, and per license there are more things to look at to see whether you can use a song.

If you want to use music by an artist it's always best practice to contact the artist and ask for permission.
